As promised...

This week I was gonna be good about posting. And then at 12:00 Monday Eric called to say that we'd be leaving for Seattle at 3:00 that afternoon for a last minute business trip. He had to drive all the way up there and he couldn't think of a single person in the world he'd rather have as his co-pilot....HA! Like he'd ever say a crazy thing like that... So I said okay and packed my bags. I'd have to be crazy to turn that down, right? That's what I thought.

So we packed our bags (well, he packed a bag, and I packed six because, well, you just never know, and a girl needs what she needs) and hit the road. I managed to get about five photos the entire time as it was so rainy and gross outside. And would Eric take a picture with his fiance? Well, not a good one. I got one of him flipping me the bird, and this little gem. Cute cute cute....coming in for a sweet little peck on the cheek....and slap! a tongue is in my mouth. Thanks, babe... I hesitated to post this, but I figure, if I have a brute who does crap like this, surely there are more of you out there, right?

It's as though he relishes in my photographic dreams crumbling...

So the trip was boring - the wizard wouldn't let us into the Emerald City because we couldn't park all 50' of our ride, I spent the entire sunshiny day in the hotel room working, and the shuttle to dinner was like being paraded through town in a New York City taxi deathtrap. EEK. But the driving was nice - Oregon and Washington are so green I thought for a little while I might sprout some leaves of my own. And on the way back it snowed! Gorgeous!

And I worked on the beloved/dreaded hex quilt.

And I was shut down once again on the photo op...

He's like the Soup Nazi, that one... No shot for you!!

After being back in Vacavillieoh for about 14 hours, I'm now 15 minutes late leaving for Fresno to participate in the Relay for Life. First time, very excited, and hope my legs don't fall off in a general protest to exercise of any kind.

Not what I had planned for National Scrapbooking Day, but oh well!

So I think as a reward to those of you who actually read to the end of this post, you should definitely be entered to win something.... How about this adorable stamp set by Ippity? I love it - use my set all the time! Just leave me a comment to be entered. I'll post the winner on Monday.

Loveyameanit!!

I'm baaaaack!

So, my head's been rolling around my studio floor for the last two weeks. Finally found it, dusted it off, and am ready to get back on track!!

Here's what I'm working on right now. Far from finished, but soooo excited to work on a "me" project. My favorite manufacturers, my favorite colors, my photos!! I haven't done this in forever - feels so good!

LOVE those adorable fabric flowers. Made them using the Dear Lizzy Fabric paper. Here's a video on how to make your own!

What lead to my formerly decapitated state, you ask? Well, let's just say that I've had more on my "to do" list than Nadya Suleman has kids. Are you watching Oprah right now? Yeessh...

Work is first - new customers, more orders. Things are good - could be better, but hey, it's work, right? I'm practically buried under samples, and just can't find enough time to get to them all! Who came up with this 24 hour limit? Total BS!!

Lots of work in the studio getting ready for an all-day crafty open house at St. John's Lutheran Church in Napa this Saturday. It's a day to work on your own crafty pursuits and learn some new techniques, too! Pre-made layouts, greeting cards, kits and projects galore!! Gonna be in town? Come on by!!

Also getting ready for the Relay for Life on May 1st in Fresno. Mom and Sis joined a while back and now I get to play too! Wanna sponsor me? Come on, you know you do! It's a cause that we all have a stake in, and hey, it's a tax write-off too! Click here to make a donation!

Oh! I almost forgot - looks like I'm gonna be designing some Unity Stamps, too! Can't wait to see how that turns out! Be sure to check out the most awesome stamp line ever!

Well, that's all for now - I'm all blogged out! I'll be back soon with some more - promise!

WTF

Have you seen this? For the record, I will never say "I Topeka'ed it." Never.

Also, if you're like me (and have hips) and are noticing a little tea dress trend out there and feel as though you've been slapped upside the head with the "too bad" stick, take heart.

Simply remove the ridiculous inner seam/hem of the dress that makes it all poofy and restitch it. Instant fix. I love it. I've done it twice this week with great results. Birthing-hipped girls, unite!

72 and Sunny

Ok, so it's not sunny in my house, but it is 72 degrees. I feel a certain freedom whenever Eric is out of town to crank the air as high or low as I deem appropriate. And right now my body is saying, "You've been hit by a truck." Thus, 72 - not so hot as to be stifling, but just hot enough to push my brain into sleep mode.

Coincidentally, it is also the name of my fave new line by We R Memory Keepers. LOVE IT! It is seriously the cutest line ever and I can't wait to get busy with it!

Imagine a DJ Tanner "YEssssss!" here - I've been waiting for a little dot up there in Russia and now I have it! So cool!

Oh yeah, I want it bad!

Did you all hear about this happy dance little (big) giveaway at Epiphanie? Does it make you salivate? I mean, how do you choose? I need a big girl camera in a bad way, so I know what I'd choose, but flying off to fun and exotic destinations at a moment's notice has its perks, too, ya know? Hmmm......

Be sure to check out the blog to get all of the details - you won't want to miss out on it!
Oh! And while you're there, check out the shop for the most gorgeous camera bags ever - no more man bags for us!! No sir!! My fave is Lola - what's yours?

Ding!! Time's up!

Here are some cards I made this weekend using SRM Stickers and Sassafras Cherry Delicious! Gotta love how cute those little stickers are and how dang far they go! I could be busy all day and not use up a whole sheet of those. Now that's scrappin' on a dime!

All crawled out!

Wow - what a weekend! Did everyone have fun on the crawl? Did you find yourself lost in a million different tabs and links and then when you finally made it back to the original tab that started the whole maze and think, "well, that's interesting." I think this is my favorite thing about blog hops, crawls, jaunts, etc. - that you just never know where you'll end up, on who's blog you'll wind up reading backwards for three years until you realize you've been reading it backwards and feel like a total tard. This has happened to me many a time.

Alas, I have read through all of your comments and picked the funniest one. I think anyone who resorts to toilet paper note-taking is definitely deserving of these little books!

The winner of my little notebook set is:
Mary has left a new comment on your post "Get Your Crawl On!":

I'm a jotter. The notebooks would be so much easier to store than pieces of napkin, toilet paper, coasters etc...
Okay, elusive Miss Mary! It's time to reveal yourself! Send me some contact info to brittny@paisleylane.net so I can get your package sent out asap!

Well ladies (and gentlemen?) thanks so much for stopping by this weekend. Your comments really mean a lot to me - such a great little ego boost! And let's face it, we all need a boost in that area every now and then, don't we?

Don't be strangers!

Here's one I don't think I've posted before. My sis and her bff make for great scrapping subjects! They're cute and always getting into trouble - perfect blackmail disguised as memory preservation...
